Adrian Griffin, a five-star prospect out of the 2021 college basketball recruiting class, has committed to play for the Duke Blue Devils.
This is, obviously, a great get for Coach K and company.
Not only do all reputable recruiting service outlets have the young man pegged as a five-star caliber player, but most tend to agree he's one of the eight (or so) best players in the entire 2021 college basketball recruiting class.
For some light information on him, Adrian Griffin is a 6-foot-7 wing who projects to make an immediate impact when he hits campus in a couple of years.
With the 2019-20 Duke Blue Devils likely relying upon defense more than offense, adding someone like Griffin in a few years, assuming there's some level of roster of turnover, should help Coach K continue to create a more balanced roster with a solid mix of shooters, playmakers and defenders.
Nevertheless, a great get for the program.
