The celebration is on in Milwaukee after the Bucks defeated the Phoenix Suns 105-98 on Tuesday night to claim the NBA Finals. For the rest of the league, the focus has already and now fully shifts to the draft and free agency.
Even before all of that gets underway, the 2022 NBA title odds have been revealed. So, who is the favorite to hoist the Larry O'Brien trophy next season?
That would be the Brooklyn Nets. This shouldn't come as a surprise to NBA fans even though the Bucks took out Kevin Durant and Co. in a thrilling seven game series. With Durant, Kyrie Irving and James Harden all back in the fold for the Nets, it's not shocking at all to see them as the odds on favorite to win the title at (+210).
Right behind the Nets, the Los Angeles Lakers rest with (+450) odds. Now, the intriguing part with that is knowing that Milwaukee is set to return the main core of their team, for them not to be the favorite or even second in line is a bit head scratching but it goes to show what the oddsmakers think about a Lakers team that should have a healthy LeBron James and Anthony Davis.
The Bucks come in third for the 2022 NBA title odds with their odds being put at (+800). While it's tough to repeat in the NBA as champions when you don't go out and build a super team, there is some value their for the Bucks at (+800).
Rounding out the top five for NBA 2022 title odds are the Warriors (+1200) and the Suns (+1300).
On the bottom end of things, the Magic, Pistons, Cavaliers, Rockets and Thunder all have (+50000) odds to bring home the NBA title next year.
