With Rajon Rondo not suiting up for the Memphis Grizzlies next season, having been bought out on Saturday afternoon, he will be a free agent once again. After splitting time with the Hawks and Clippers last season, Rondo will try to sign with a contender for the 2021-22 NBA season.

Now that there are multiple teams still lacking depth in their backcourt, Rondo would serve as a great veteran leader and floor general to any team in need. As a two-time NBA champion and one of the greatest playoff performers in NBA history, Rondo's court vision, clutch playmaking, and ability to elevate the performance of his teammates would provide a much-needed boost to a contender on the rise. Having said all this, let's take a look at the three best landing spots for Rajon Rondo after being bought out by the Grizzlies.

Rajon Rondo landing spots:

Philadelphia 76ers

With the Ben Simmons situation still being an area of uncertainty and George Hill no longer in the picture for the Sixers, Rondo would be a perfect addition to this up-and-coming contender. This would also be an opportunity for Rondo to reunite with former Celtics head coach Doc Rivers.

Adding Rondo to an already deep Sixers squad would give them an edge heading into next year's playoffs and could make them the team to beat. Between Joel Embiid, Tobias Harris, Matisse Thybulle, and Seth Curry, the Sixers already have an explosive two-way line-up. Now add to that the legend of playoff Rondo and the Sixers would have a perfect starting five that nobody would want to see in the first round of the playoffs.

The pick-and-roll game, 3-point shooting, and ball movement would increase immensely with Rondo running the point for them. If they want to get over the hump next season and bring home the chip then this is a move that Daryl Morey and the Sixers front office should strongly consider.

Brooklyn Nets

They're the title favorites heading into next season and a star-studded squad with a few roster needs that still haven't been met this offseason. The addition of Rajon Rondo would do wonders for the Nets and give them an additional playmaker and ball-handler outside of Kyrie Irving and James Harden.

Come to think of it, the signing of Rajon Rondo would give them the opportunity to run their own version of the death line-up with Kevin Durant, Joe Harris, Harden, Irving, and Rondo. Having that line-up to close out games would be an absolute nightmare for opposing defenses all year long. Plus with Patty Mills, Blake Griffin, Bruce Brown, and Nicolas Claxton coming off the bench, they'd bode the deepest rotation in the league.

The passing, shooting, and ball-handling would be second to none and put the Nets over the top. With his championship pedigree and tireless work ethic, Rajon Rondo would add a new an exciting new element to this Brooklyn Nets squad that's on the verge of bringing home their first NBA title in franchise history.

Los Angeles Lakers

Rajon Rondo has been strongly linked to the Lakers, and now that he is no longer with the Grizzlies, the talk surrounding Rondo and the Lake Show will intensify. ClutchPoints reporter Michael Corvo explained why Rondo is the favorite to land with the Purple and Gold.

Rondo's basketball IQ and postseason prowess are both powerful incentives for the Lakers to want him, and for him to go back to the team he lifted to an NBA championship in 2020.
