As we enter into another season of football, the Jacksonville Jaguars — who certainly could have done better this past season — have a few questions they need to ask and answer themselves.

They need to really get it together and do better if they hope to actually make it to the playoffs in the new season.

Can they get it together on the offensive front?

  • Getting it together” on the offensive front means, according to the official Jaguars blog, involves drafting a quarterback that's worthy of the title. But the question is, should they mortgage the future to make a play for Ohio State quarterback Dwayne Haskins? We won't know until March whether the Jaguars will actually make a play for the notable quarterback, but either way, we also know that the team has to get it together on other offensive fronts, including upgrading the offensive line, running back, wide receiver and tight end upgrades.

Does Doug Marrone continue on as head coach?

  • It's clear that the Jaguars brass is unhappy with how the team performed this past season. According to the official NFL site, it's clear that Marrone believes his job is in jeopardy, especially since his team finished dead last in the AFC South Division — a feat considered inconceivable for the one-time champions.

Does Tom Coughlin move down from the office to become a head coach?

  • According to Forbes, this is a likely possibility. “Coughlin coached the Jaguars from their inaugural season in 1995 through 2002. After coaching in Jacksonville, he led the New York Giants to two Super Bowl victories in 2007 and 2011. Coughlin is ranked as the 12th-winningest coach in NFL history with an overall record of 182-157 (.537). Coughlin’s no-nonsense approach may be just what the Jaguars players need if they decide to go in a different direction with their head coach,” they said.

Whatever the Jaguars decide to do, it's clear that they need to get it together in 2019 and beyond if they plan to regain their lost glory.
