The Los Angeles Rams made a return to the playoffs this past year and are primed to get back once again in 2021. In the offseason, the team improved the roster even more, making it a tougher task to take them out.

In the offseason, the Rams traded for star quarterback Matthew Stafford, who could very well take the team to the next level. They traded away Jared Goff and multiple picks to get Stafford, but it is certainly a risk worth taking since the veteran QB can instantly elevate the quarterback play and the offense.

With some young talent on the roster and a few more set for a breakout campaign, LA is more than capable of elevating their game and improving their 10-6-0 finish on the season.

With that said, here are our prediction for three potential breakout players for the Rams this 2021:

3. Offensive lineman David Edwards

The 2019 fifth-round pick has shown improvement in his first two seasons, and it sure looks like he's trending in the right direction.

David Edwards has already demonstrated his ability to be a great run blocker, though he still needs to develop his pass blocking. Edwards could be in for a big season as the offense has improved. His talent is there, and it's just a matter of putting it all together for a full campaign.

Edwards should have a great 2021 campaign.

2. Running back Cam Akers

The Rams had a ton of depth at the running back position, but Cam Akers is clearly the best of the bunch.

With Malcolm Brown leaving in free agency, it is down to Akers and Darrell Henderson Jr. at the running back position. While they had a similar stat line last season, Akers showed how much potential he had at the end of the year after he picked up his production level.

With more offensive firepower this 2021, Akers should take a big jump. Sean McVay should also be able to find a great way to utilize his talents in the best way possible. Akers has the potential to make a Pro Bowl next season and should be a very productive running back.

1. Safety Jordan Fuller

The Rams had the top defense in the 2020 season, and part of that was due to the play of Jordan Fuller. The rookie's impact is often overshadowed due to the star power of Aaron Donald and Jalen Ramsey, but he has shown enough to warrant a breakout campaign.

Although he isn't a household name like those two yet, Fuller has made a great impact in his first season. Fuller started in 12 games and had 60 tackles and three interceptions. He has the potential to grow into a star in the secondary, which would make the Rams defense even better. If Fuller is able to progress into a stud safety, it will be hard for any team to score on the elite defensive group.

The Rams have a ton of young talent on the roster and are ready to make another playoff appearance. This time, however, could be different as they have a new quarterback that can lead the team to a win in a close game.

Although it may not look like it on paper, the Rams have everything they need to compete for a Super Bowl.
