However, all eyes are on Deebo Samuel now after he made some interesting decisions on his social media accounts. Maybe it's time for trade rumors to swirl around Samuel and the San Francisco 49ers?
According to Ari Meirov, Deebo Samuel “removed his 49ers profile picture, unfollowed the team, and has deleted over 80 posts from his Instagram account.” Of course, this is strictly speculation, but this could refer back to Samuel still being in the final year of his rookie contract.

The 2022 NFL offseason has been absolutely bonkers, so it's not crazy to think that Deebo Samuel wants a trade out of San Francisco. However, it is more likely the 49ers give Samuel a sizable contract extension instead, as he's truly a versatile weapon for his team.
Then again, as Ari Meirov pointed out, this could simply be a troll job from Samuel himself. We've seen multiple athletes share cryptic posts or delete their current team from their social media accounts all for nothing interesting to happen. This certainly could be the case here, as the 49ers are legitimate playoff contenders with Deebo Samuel on the roster.
We'll see how it all plays out, but all eyes will be on Deebo Samuel and this franchise for the remainder of the offseason. If the 49ers plan to extend Samuel, then we should see a deal come to fruition after June 1st.
