When Deebo Samuel showed up in the San Francisco 49ers' OTAs, some fans probably thought it would be awkward and he'd be alienated. After all, it has been just a couple of months since the wide receiver demanded a trade away from the team.

Fortunately, that wasn't the case at all. As head coach Kyle Shanahan noted, the 49ers and the players understand the business side of the NFL. While it's easy to make assumptions about the trade demand and what it means to the team, the Niners didn't let it affect their relationship with the wide out.

“I think it's always been alright,” Shanahan said when asked about Samuel's relationship with his teammates, per The Wichita Eagle. “I know we go through the business part of this league, but I don't think the relationship was ever too far away to not get it back to normal and I think we're working on that. Anytime you're away from each other for a while, that's always harder, but it's good to get him back in here and start getting him around the guys again.”

Obviously the 49ers didn't want to trade Deebo Samuel, and it looks like the rest of the team felt the same way. While it is still uncertain what the future holds for him, it is certainly great to see him back with the franchise.

With Trey Lance set to take over as QB1, a lot of eyes will be on Samuel and whether he'll be catching passes from the young signal-caller.
