The San Francisco 49ers won't have to endure the losses of three of their offensive weapons much longer. Running back Tevin Coleman, wide receiver Jalen Hurd, and wide receiver Trent Taylor are out for Week 2 but are scheduled to return after the Week 4 bye.

Said 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan on Friday, via 49ers Wire's Kyle Madson:

“That’s the plan [after Week 4 bye return].“I hope so. I hope there’s a chance next week, but that’s really the goal.”

Both Taylor and Hurd suffered injuries before the season started. Taylor underwent surgery before the team's preseason opener against Dallas. Per Madson, it was “preventative in order to only keep him out a few weeks rather than something closer to half the season.”

Hurd, on the other hand, played in the season opener and scored two touchdowns in the process. However, in the days leading up to the second game, he suffered a back injury and was later ruled out for the rest of the preseason. The 49ers drafted him in the third round of this year's draft out of Baylor.

Coleman, a free-agent acquisition (two years, $10 million), played in the season opener. He recorded six attempts for 23 yards against Tampa Bay. However, he suffered a high ankle sprain on the first play of the game. Coleman attempted to play through the injury, but the 49ers eventually ruled him out and went with Matt Breida instead.

The 49ers will face the Cincinnati Bengals and Pittsburgh Steelers before their bye. After that, they play Cleveland Browns.
