The Pittsburgh Steelers go into the 2020 season looking to improve on their relatively down year.

After five-straight seasons of having an above .500 record, the Steelers ended 2019 with an 8-8 win-loss tally and missed the playoffs for the second consecutive year.

However, things are looking up for Pittsburgh as the team got back many key players from last season while adding quite a few impact players from both free agency and the draft.

With the NFL schedules releasing earlier this week, it's clear that Pittsburgh fans have plenty of upcoming matchups to circle on their calendars.

5. Week 1 @ New York Giants

Not only is this the season opener for the Steelers, but it's also the first Monday Night Football game of the season. While the New York Giants haven't done much in recent years, the young duo of Daniel Jones and Saquon Barkley have proven they can put on a show every once in a while.

It'll be a good litmus test for Pittsburgh as they open up their season on primetime TV.

4. Week 4 @ Tennessee Titans

Derrick Henry versus T.J. Watt and the Pittsburgh defense? Sign me up.

The Tennessee Titans were arguably the NFL's biggest surprise team in 2019, as they road the coattails of Henry and Ryan Tannehill to the AFC Championship game.

We'll have to see if that success carries over to the 2020 season, but regardless, putting Henry up against a Steelers defense that ranked third in the NFL in rushing yards allowed will make for some tough, hard-nosed football.

3. Week 10 vs. Cincinnati Bengals

It'll be interesting to see how well 2020 No. 1 overall pick Joe Burrow will handle the home crowd at Heinz Field. As the first selection of the draft, Burrow will receive plenty of media attention and depending on how he does throughout the season, this could be a great matchup for a number of reasons.

2. Week 6 vs. Cleveland Browns

It doesn't even matter if Mason Rudolph is starting this game because, for obvious reasons, this showdown is personal for a lot of Steelers fans. Add to that the fact that the Cleveland Browns are one of Pittsburgh's biggest rivals and you get an AFC North battle that could get testy at any moment.

You better believe that the Steelers will be looking to dominate their division rivals as all eyes will be on Cleveland defensive end Myles Garrett due to the infamous incident from last season.

1. Week 12 vs. Baltimore Ravens

Arguably the Steelers' biggest rival, Baltimore-Pittsburgh matchups are always must-watch TV.

Last season, the Baltimore Ravens swept Mike Tomlin's squad, winning in overtime in Pittsburgh and then by 18 points at home to end the regular season.

Week 12 isn't the first time these two teams will meet next season, but it'll give the Steelers the chance to get revenge for the tough overtime loss at home, as well as a good look at one of the most exciting players in the league in 2019 MVP Lamar Jackson.
