The Philadelphia 76ers added Andre Drummond to their team this summer. This was a great addition by the 76ers as they could use some help at the center position while Joel Embiid has nights that he's resting.

Embiid is currently out for the foreseeable future as he is in the health and safety protocols after testing positive for COVID-19. Doc Rivers said that Embiid is not feeling great. There is a possibility that he's in the health and safety protocols longer if he can not return healthy. This would be a big blow for the 76ers as they are also without Ben Simmons and Tobias Harris.

Andre Drummond came in against the New York Knicks and did exactly what Philadelphia signed him for. Drummond put up 25 rebounds in the contest which is something that doesn't happen very often in today's NBA. He also added 14 points and was one of the main reasons why the 76ers competed with the Knicks.

New York won the contest 103-96. The Knicks go to 7-4 on the season. Philadelphia now moves to 8-3 on the season.

The Drummond signing was one of the more low-key signings of the off-season. Drummond is still a serviceable center and will be used when Embiid has nights off. Embiid does have a history of injuries, so this signing made sense for the 76ers as they can hopefully keep their big man healthy for the playoffs.
