Just recently, Back 4 Blood released a trailer for the game’s early access open beta phase from August 5-9. It’s a great strategy to encourage players to pre-order a copy in order to gain exclusive access during the first phase of open beta. Also, it’s a good way to ensure Back 4 Blood’s player population as early as possible.

Back 4 Blood’s open beta will have two separate schedules. Players who pre-ordered the game will gain early access in open beta from August 5-9. On the other hand, players who didn’t pre-order will still have access to open beta come August 12-16. Remember, you still need an access code to play in open beta if you haven’t pre-ordered the game. Both PC and Console platforms are confirmed for open beta. Notably, the beta will support cross-gen and cross-platform. During the open beta, players will have access to two maps, select cleaners, various deck cards, weapons, and enemy variants.

Back 4 Blood is the spiritual successor to the Left 4 Dead franchise. Developers Turtle Rock Studios were the same people who made Left 4 Dead, back when they were still working with Valve. Since Gaben's company didn't seem to have any interest in making Left 4 Dead 3, these devs left and made their own studio, taking matters into their own hands. Back 4 Blood will officially launch on October 12, 2021, for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
