The Buffalo Bills have legitimate aspirations of winning a Super Bowl this year. Josh Allen got the big boy contract extension this offseason and they bring back their core of weapons on that side of the ball from a year ago.

One of those main weapons is Cole Beasley and on Tuesday, the slot wide receiver was sent home for the next five days due to a close contact run in with a Bills trainer who tested positive for Covid-19.

While Beasley is a real good slot wideout, he has made noise this offseason that has nothing to do with wearing the Bills uniform. Instead, Beasley has been loudly criticized time and again for his stance on remaining unvaccinated and sticking to it.

The Bills shifty playmaker addressed the matter at the outset of training camp with a scripted message that he read to a host of reporters. He mentioned that it would be the only time he would talk about his choice to not get the vaccine throughout the year.

It will be another season of tight-rope walking in the NFL with the Covid-19 protocols in place. Those that aren't vaccinated run a bigger risk of missing time with ordeals like the run Beasley is going through now. Coaches like Mike Zimmer of the Minnesota Vikings have spoken out numerous times about the importance for players to get educated on the matter to get the vaccine.

As Adam Schefter notes, Beasley will miss the next five days for the Bills while now being back home.
