Kristopher Knox of Bleacher Report has identified one move that every NFL team should make before the 2019 season begins. According to him, the Buffalo Bills move is simple – trade running back LeSean McCoy.

Okay, actually that might be a lot more complicated than it sounds.

Let's start with the Buffalo Bills current running back situation. They signed Frank Gore and T.J. Yeldon this offseason. They also selected Devin Singletary in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft. So they definitely have enough players at the position.

Meanwhile, McCoy is coming off easily his worst season in the NFL – and will be 31 next season. He averaged a career-low 3.2 yards per carry. His previous low was 4.0 and it came in the year prior.

McCoy also had pedestrian receiving numbers (something he's usually strong in) with 34 receptions for 238 yards. He had three touchdowns total between rushing and receiving.

Finally, he's going to be a $9,050,000 cap hit this year. That's the biggest issue.

The Bills definitely don't want to pay that. There's the problem though – would many teams? Even if Buffalo finds a suitor, are they going to be able to unload the salary on them or would they end up paying for him anyways?

It's still definitely worth exploring though. Even if the Bills only end up saving a little bit of money – it's something. More importantly though, it frees up a roster spot to do something else with and gives the rookie Singletary a much bigger role.

LeSean McCoy had some strong seasons with the Buffalo Bills. His time with the team seems numbered though. Maybe a change of scenery will do him good.

We can't find out until the Bills make the necessary move.
