In the final stretch of the regular season, Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy has been limited by injuries over the last few weeks that forced him to miss last week's action.

There have been lingering questions with his health for Week 16 action against the New England Patriots. McCoy cleared up any possible doubts concerning his availability as he voiced on Thursday morning that he will be on the field come Sunday afternoon, according to Chris Brown of Buffalobills.com.

This has been nothing short of a disappointing season for McCoy beyond the team's overall struggles on the field as his production has fallen well below has become expected of him on a weekly basis. He is in the midst of his least productive campaign currently with 479 rushing yards and two touchdowns along with 29 receptions for 210 receiving yards in 12 games played. He currently on pace for a career-worst 547 rushing yards while tying a career-low with just two rushing touchdowns.

This has seen McCoy tally more than 100 rushing yards just once while posting fewer than 50 rushing yards on seven occasions. He may be playing on one of the league's least productive offense, but it's hard to move past the fact that his production has been notably down from what has become expected from his over the course of his career. McCoy has been one of the league's best running back in his first nine years of his career with six 1,000 rushing yard campaigns over that span.

Although the playoffs are out of the picture for McCoy, he has a chance in front of him to finish out the year on a strong note to turn the page on the disappointing 2018 campaign. This could lead to an interesting offseason where things could shift toward questions about his long-term future in Buffalo. In the meantime, it looks like he will be playing against the Patriots.
