Portland Trail Blazers guard CJ McCollum has made some improvement as he continues to recover from the knee injury he suffered in a game against the San Antonio Spurs last Sunday.

He has been doing some light workouts during practice under the supervision of the team's health and performance specialist.

Earlier this week, CJ McCollum said that there is no timetable for his return, though he hopes to be back as soon as possible. He didn't specify if he wants to come back during the regular season or just be ready for the playoffs, but he does want to be 100 percent when he returns.

“I think my goal is just to come back when I’m healthy. Obviously you don’t want to miss games — this is the seventh game I’ve missed in four years and two of them was rest and one was being left off the roster, so I don’t like to miss games. But I’ve got to do what’s best for myself from a health standpoint. Doctors will sign off when they think I’m ready so hopefully that’s sooner than later, but I’m two days in so I don’t know how it will be two weeks, three weeks,” McCollum explained, per Casey Holdahl of Blazers.com.

McCollum is set to be re-evaluated some time before the end of this week.
