Portland Trail Blazers big man Jusuf Nurkic has revealed that his grandmother is in a coma due to COVID-19.

After helping the Blazers beat the Memphis Grizzlies in overtime in Portland's first official game in Orlando, the Bosnian Beast opened his interview with reporters by sharing the story. He then urged viewers to take the coronavirus seriously.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Jusuf Nurkic and his family. This certainly is a tough time for the Blazers star to be away from his family.

Denver Nuggets small forward Michael Porter Jr. recently said COVID-19 is being overblown. Minnesota Timberwolves superstar center Karl-Anthony Towns tragically lost his mom to COVID-19 and now Nurkic's grandma is in a coma.

With that said, it's easy to see why so many people attacked Porter for his comments.
