The Portland Trail Blazers will be without forward Moe Harkless on Wednesday night when they face off against the Chicago Bulls at Moda Center.

Moe Harkless has been playing some solid basketball for the Blazers, but he has dealt with injury problems throughout the campaign. He has played in only 26 games this season and has started 19 of them.

Harkless is averaging 5.9 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.0 block per game. He provides energy and length and is a good defender.

Since coming over from the Orlando Magic, Harkless has played four seasons for the Blazers. Unfortunately, the 15th overall pick in the 2012 draft has never blossomed and developed into a consistent player. However, he has provided decent minutes for the team over the years.

Even with Harkless missing tonight, the Blazers should be able to handle the Bulls. Portland is 24-17 and currently the 7th seed in the West. Chicago is just 10-30, and only 5-16 on the road.

The two franchises are definitely trending in different directions. While the Blazers are fighting for quality playoff seeding in the tougher conference, the Bulls are struggling to win games.

The Blazers will look to cash in a win against one of the weaker teams in the league and continue their path to the playoffs. Behind Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum, the team has a lot of work to do to avoid another embarrassing first round exit.
