The Portland Trail Blazers could express trade interest in New Orleans Pelicans point guard Jrue Holiday, according to Kevin O'Connor of The Ringer.

Holiday has been the subject of multiple trade rumors, as it appears the Pelicans are actively looking to deal him and get some assets in return.

While the Blazers have All-Star point guard Damian Lillard on the roster, the Blazers could easily play both Dame and Jrue Holiday in the backcourt at the same time.

However, C.J. McCollum's future with Portland could be up in the air if the Blazers are serious about acquiring Holiday from the Pelicans.

One of the best two-way players in the NBA, Holiday averaged 19.1 points, 4.8 rebounds and 6.7 assists per game for the Pelicans in 2019-20. He shot 45.5 percent from the field, 35.3 percent from beyond the arc and 70.9 percent from the free-throw line.

The Blazers made the 2020 playoffs after defeating the Memphis Grizzlies in the first-ever NBA play-in game at Walt Disney World. However, Portland lost to the Los Angeles Lakers in the first round in five games despite winning Game 1 of the series.

It's going to be very interesting to see where Holiday is playing next season. The Pelicans could always keep the All-NBA defender, but it sounds like New Orleans is open to dealing him and building the team's future around Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram.

Since entering the NBA in 2009 out of UCLA, Holiday has compiled averages of 15.9 points, 3.9 rebounds and 6.4 assists with the Philadelphia 76ers and Pelicans.
