The Denver Broncos' win over the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday was marred by an injury to star cornerback Chris Harris Jr. The All-Pro corner had to exit the game early because of a broken leg.

But according to Aric Dilalla of DenverBroncos.com, Harris remained positive despite being hurt and stated that he would probably be back in a month.

“I think probably like a month [until returning]. I recover fast. I broke a record in coming back from an ACL [tear]. This ain’t nowhere close to that, so I know I’ll be back.”

The 29-year-old Harris is a major piece in the Broncos' defense. He was a key player in the team's strong defensive run that culminated with a Super Bowl win in 2016.

He has showcased his ability to cover receivers and earned three straight trips to the Pro Bowl from 2014-2016. He's also been voted as a First-team All-Pro in 2016 and a Second Team All-Pro twice in 2014 and 2015.

Since joining the Broncos, Harris Jr. has only missed one game. That was way back in 2012, his second year in the league. He has recorded 470 tackles, 4.5 sacks, 80 pass deflections, 19 interceptions and returned four pick-sixes.

By beating the Bengals, the Broncos have now won three games in a row and have kept their playoff hopes alive at 6-6.

Harris faces a race against time to return from that broken leg before the end of the regular season. But if the Broncos somehow make it to the postseason, they'd sure prefer to have their top corner back by then.
