The Denver Broncos used a second round pick (42nd overall) on quarterback Drew Lock in the 2019 NFL Draft.

Lock did not play right away but ended up taking over the starting duties towards the end of the season. And while people were mixed on their opinions of him to start, they seemed to be all-in on him by the end.

And now it looks like those are the type of feelings DeMarcus Ware had as well. According to Sports Radio 104.3 The Fan on Twitter, Ware admits that he did not think Lock would impact the team the way he did. Now he feels Lock is a force though.

Ware spent 12 years in the NFL, three of those with the Broncos (the other nine with the Dallas Cowboys).

In that time, he became one of the best pass rushers of all-time. Ware ended his career with 138.5 sacks and 35 forced fumbles. He was a nine-time Pro Bowler, four-time first-team All-Pro, and a one-time Super Bowl winner (with the Broncos in 2015).

So Ware is definitely qualified to talk about quarterbacks, seeing as he terrorized them for so long.

Meanwhile, Lock completed 64.1% of his passes in 2019. He threw for 1,020 yards and seven touchdowns (three interceptions) in five games. In those five games that Lock appeared in, Denver went 4-1.

It's pretty clear that the quarterback impressed in his rookie year. Fans and analysts have been raving about him quite a bit. And now he has a lot of young weapons to work with.

It's easy to be skeptical about a young quarterback. However, Lock seems to have swayed the opinion to mostly positive. That includes Ware, who definitely appears to be sold on the young quarterback moving forward.
