When looking at the 2019 NFL schedule, there are plenty of long trips each team must take. The Denver Broncos have to travel a lot during the last stretch of their season.

While the Broncos have an evenly split schedule through the first 10 weeks of the season, Week 11 starts a rough stretch for a team that will try to compete for a potential wild card spot in the AFC. From Week 11 through Week 15, the Broncos will have to travel at least 900 miles on multiple occasions: to Minneapolis, Buffalo, and Houston to play the Vikings, Bills, and Texans in that stretch.

Although the Broncos will have a chance in a couple of those games, the travel itself will be a problem for the team. Not only is that a ton of travel in a short amount of time, but it also involves travel that will span the entire country, which means the team will have to deal with constantly changing time zones, the potential for jet lag, and — last but not least — some quality opponents. Minnesota has playoff talent, and the Texans won their division last year.

Despite finishing last season with a 6-10 record, the Broncos seem confident that they can put together a contender in a very competitive AFC West Division. After trading for former Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco, Denver is hoping the addition of a more stable presence in the quarterback room can help the team compete. With a still-fierce defense at their disposal, the Broncos could compete for one of the two final postseason berths in the AFC.
