The young Denver Broncos are currently on the rise and are setting their sights on bigger goals heading into the upcoming season. However, their journey will be anything but easy as the team is still marred by its inexperience as a unit.

Broncos running back Philip Lindsay voiced out on what he thinks can help the team win games with Drew Lock playing under center:

“The easiest thing to do is establish a run game early to help Drew out,” he said. “Drew is going to be fine, and our offense is going to be fine. The receivers are going to do great. If we can take the pressure off him and get the [defensive backs] and get the linebackers in the box, then it'll be so much easier for Drew to do what he has to do.”

As a rookie QB, Lock was previously slotted in the starter position as a replacement for the injured veteran Joe Flacco. He stepped up and had a string of impressive performances in the latter part of the 2019 season. His rookie campaign was highlighted when he led the Broncos to a 4-1 record in his five total appearances last season.

General Manager John Elway liked what he saw and named Lock as the team's presumptive QB1 moving forward. The front office also did a good job in surrounding the 23-year old gunslinger with much-needed weapons.

Rookie wideouts Jerry Jeudy and KJ Hamler were acquired to flank 2019 Pro Bowl wide receiver Courtland Sutton on the wings. Former New York Giants head coach Pat Shurmur will also be leading the Broncos' offense in the upcoming season.

Despite being injury-stricken, the Broncos are still aiming to ball out and exceed expectations in 2020.
