Jerry Jeudy has drawn rave reviews in training camp for the Denver Broncos and he could see a decent workload in Week 1. Pat Shurmur, the new offensive coordinator of the Broncos, hinted at an increased offensive role for Jeudy on Monday versus the Tennessee Titans.

“With regard to Jerry Jeudy, he was going to be part of the plan anyway,” Shurmur said. “Let’s say that Courtland doesn’t make it for whatever reason, then the whole group has got to kind of share the load. That’s the way it has always been and always will be. These kind of things are part of our game, so they’ve got to be ready to go. We’re preparing him to play anyway, so he may just have to take a few more snaps. Other guys will fill in, as well.”

During Thursday's practice, Courtland Sutton injured his shoulder after attempting to make a catch. After undergoing tests, Sutton was revealed to have a sprained AC joint, making him day-to-day for the Broncos.

Provided that, Sutton could be on track to miss Monday night's contest if he's unable to make any progress with his injury. And if Sutton isn't on the field, then Jeudy will undoubtedly have an opportunity to shine in his first career start.

The Broncos selected Jeudy with the No. 15 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, setting him up to become an immediate contributor in the offense. However, with Sutton battling a shoulder injury, the rookie first-round pick — along with the other skill players — will replace the production left behind by the team's No. 1 wide receiver from a season ago.
