Denver Broncos star linebacker Von Miller is the last holdout as a starter on the Super Bowl 50 winning team back in 2015. Miller, a 31-year-old former second-overall pick from the 2011 NFL Draft out of Texas A&M, has looked back on his time with the Broncos, and his primary conclusion is he's “old as hell,” via The Athletic's Nicki Jhabvala on Twitter.

The Broncos won Super Bowl 50 over the Carolina Panthers in (future) Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton Manning's last great ride, with Miller, of course, shoring up the studded Denver defense. The Broncos only gave up 10 points all game to then 15-1 Panthers and MVP Cam Newton, blanking Carolina for two quarters in that game, too.

Despite occurring just over four years ago, as it is with football, the turnover on the Broncos has proven Miller as the last starter still on the Mile High City squad.

Miller, a perennial Pro Bowl linebacker and former Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2011, is still a leader for the Broncos on defense. Last season he recorded eight sacks—his lowest total since his third season in the NFL with five, where he only appeared in nine games due to a suspension and later season-ending ACL injury.

Miller has kept the Broncos as an elite defense despite the head coach turnover as well as players coming and going. After winning Super Bowl 50 in 2015, the following season Denver finished fourth in the NFL's defenses in yards and points allowed. Since then, the Broncos have been in the top half of the league in both categories except for points in the 2017 season.
