The Cleveland Browns have been a very active team this offseason, attempting to surround Baker Mayfield with more pieces to succeed. After seeing what the Browns have done this offseason, Mayfield appears to be a fan of the moves Cleveland has made.

“Right now would be the first stages of getting everything out of the way and laying that foundation down where we can,” Mayfield said, via the team’s website. “It’s been very exciting for me with all the moves they’re making. I think we’re putting the right pieces together.”

Last offseason, the Browns created a ton of hype after acquiring Odell Beckham Jr. from the New York Giants. Despite the move to land Beckham, Cleveland was unable to live up to expectations in 2019.

After going 6-10 in 2019, the Browns decided to part ways with GM John Dorsey and head coach Freddie Kitchens. To replace them, Cleveland hired Kevin Stefanski at head coach and brought in Andrew Berry to replace Dorsey. Even though it's early in their tenure together, it's evident that they've made a priority to improve the offense.

Throughout free agency, the Browns added Austin Hooper and Jack Conklin. In addition, in the 2020 NFL Draft, Cleveland selected Jedrick Wills with the No. 10 pick in the first round.

Just a season ago, the Browns failed to produce results that reflected how talented their roster was. Therefore, it's safe to say that Cleveland won't be receiving much hype from fans and the media ahead of the 2020 season. With that being said, Mayfield approves of what the new-look front office has done this offseason.
