Consider it a cool welcome. Browns superstar Odell Beckham Jr. took to Twitter to welcome his newest teammate, Jedrick Wills.

“Bama boy đŸ˜€đŸ€ŹđŸ€Ź Lol 😭 guess we koool now ! @JWills73”

OBJ, of course, spent three stellar seasons with the LSU Tigers while Wills is a proud product of the powerhouse Alabama Crimson Tide. Collegiate football rivalries are among the most intense in all of sports so naturally, some alma mater pride will spill over to the Twitterverse.

Wills was the Browns’ 10th overall pick of the 2020 NFL Draft and immediately responded to Beckham’s banter.

“Just lemme know how much time you need to finish your route 13 đŸ€žđŸ˜€â€

Wills should be able to provide that much-needed support in the Browns’ offensive line. Projected to go early in the first round, scouts have raved about Wills’ physicality to buy time for his teammates. Throughout his collegiate career, Willis has allowed a grand total of one quarterback sacked allowed.

“He’s a dog,” said The Draft Network’s Jordan Reid. “He was the punisher among the group. He constantly finishes defenders and felt little remorse once seeing how effective his first blows can be.”

Wills’ imposing figure should provide that extra punch in aiding a Browns team that is ranked 26th in first downs.

“He drives anyone with the opposite color jersey into the turf and is in no hurry to help them up afterwards. He’s the living definition of a mauler or road grader,” added Reid.

Sounds like the perfect addition to the Pound.
