The Cleveland Browns could be peaking at the perfect time with the AFC North losing some serious firepower this NFL offseason.

With former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown now a member of the Oakland Raiders and former Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco now with the Denver Broncos, the Browns could enter the upcoming 2019 campaign as the favorites to win the AFC North division.

Former NFL head coach Brian Billick certainly seems to think so.

Of course, the Browns selected former Oklahoma Sooners quarterback Baker Mayfield with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. Not only that, but the Browns also managed to add former Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jarvis Landry ahead of last season, paving the way for the AFC North franchise to produce quite the offensive attack for the foreseeable future.

Although coming in quite the controversial fashion, the Browns notably added former Kansas City Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt earlier in the offseason this time around while the former Toledo standout will likely be paired with fellow running back Nick Chubb.

With a new head coach in Freddie Kitchens now at the helm in Cleveland, with general manager John Dorsey pulling the strings from the front office, it appears as though the Browns are finally ready to make significant strides in the right direction. Although Cleveland showed signs of progress last season, the AFC North franchise was still unable to reach the postseason. However, the 2019-20 season could be the year that everything officially turns around for the struggling franchise.
