Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson is still awaiting his punishment from the NFL despite reaching settlements with 20 of his 24 accusers. However, no matter how long he's reprimanded, Watson is planning to sue the league.

Via Charles Robinson:

He probably won't have any luck getting anywhere with that, but regardless, Deshaun Watson is going to try. There's a firm belief Roger Goodell and the NFL will suspend Watson for at least a year and sources in Watson's camp are starting to believe Judge Sue Robinson's decision is going to overlap with the start of Browns' training camp.

Cleveland is undoubtedly going to be in a tough position once the ruling is announced. They just traded away Baker Mayfield to the Carolina Panthers and currently have Jacoby Brissett as their backup to Watson. It was always expected the league would be punishing him for his actions, it just came down to how long will he be sidelined.

The Browns start camp on July 26th. Deshaun Watson and the organization deserve to know if their QB1 will be either out for the entire year or just a portion of it. Regardless, it's a tough situation for everyone involved and Cleveland is certainly preparing to go ahead sans Watson. All fans can do is hope he isn't out for too long because it will hurt the team's chances of being a legitimate contender in 2022. After all, they didn't give him a $230 million deal for nothing.
