The Cleveland Browns were happy to get Greedy Williams in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft to help beef up their secondary. After snagging Denzel Ward in the first round last year, the Browns may have finished up putting together one of the most talented long-term cornerback duos in the entire league.

According to a report from Scott Patsko of Cleveland.com, Williams is already practicing with the starters in OTA's. He stopped short of naming him a starter, as Freddie Kitchens and company have not named anyone's roles just yet.

Nobody is naming starters in OTAs, but the Browns are getting a look at what a starting defensive backfield could look like with second-round draft pick Greedy Williams opposite Denzel Ward. The young corners were paired plenty during Thursday’s OTA session, much like they were last week when media was allowed to observe.

During the 2018 season with the LSU Tigers, Williams ended up recording 33 total tackles to go along with two interceptions and nine defended passes. His fall in the draft was a bit surprising, but the Browns will take.

Standing in at 6-foot-2 and 182 pounds, Williams is a big, physical cornerback. He will fit perfectly across from Ward. Interestingly enough, NFL.com compared Williams to Antoine Cason, which isn't the kind of comparisons that top-notch prospects would like to see.

Cleveland has to be feeling good about the future of their franchise. They have gone from being a laughing stock to a serious contender in the AFC. John Dorsey and Freddie Kitchens should be excited about young players like Williams and Ward.

Expect to see Williams continue pushing for a starting job and don't be surprised if he opens as a starter in Week 1.
