The Cleveland Browns have officially locked up to the No. 1 pick in the 2018 NFL Draft for the second straight year as they approach which could be a winless season heading into Week 17 with a 0-15 record.

With the Browns having the top pick once again, many believe the lowly Cleveland franchise will go with a quarterback. The team will have some options at that position with UCLA's Josh Rosen and USC's Sam Darnold as potential candidates to be selected.

Unfortunately for Cleveland, Rosen has already come out and said he'd rather than stay at UCLA for another year than be drafted by the Browns. Current head coach Hue Jackson was recently asked about Rosen's comments and said the following, via Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com.

“I just think it's too early to comment on something that a college player has said who has not even declared what he's doing,” Jackson said. “I don't think right now that conversation is what's important. Sure, that'll be talked about as we move forward and at the appropriate time when we can discuss that, we will.

“Right now, it's way too early. We are focused on how do we beat Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh this week.”

Obviously, Rosen's comments are not something a coach wants to hear, especially with the team in desperate need of a franchise-caliber quarterback to help right the ship.

Although Rosen seems to want to steer his path to the New York Giants, who are currently slated to have the No. 2 pick in the draft, the team does have another option. Darnold recently let it be known he'd be honored to play for any team in the NFL, therefore, opening the door for the Browns if the USC star decides to leave school.

There could be quite a few quarterbacks off the board in the first five to 10 picks in the NFL Draft with Wyoming's Josh Allen also getting a lot of praise. Darnold, Rosen, and Allen may very well be the first quarterbacks taken in the draft, but the order in which they're taken or where they'll land is still up for debate.
