Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb is poised to make a comeback to the gridiron in Week 10 after the team designated him for return off the injured reserve list, per ESPN‘s Jake Trotter.

The former Georgia Bulldog was having a streaking start to the 2020 NFL season until he sustained a MCL sprain in the Browns' Week 4 game against the Dallas Cowboys. The knee injury kept the Pro Bowler on the sidelines for the Browns' last four games.

Chubb posted 335 yards on 57 carries, a 5.9 yards per carry average, before getting injured. He was third in the NFL in rushing when he went down with the injury. His rushing partner in Kareem Hunt eventually received most of his snaps and was productive as he eased into a bigger role in the Browns' ground attack.

The Ohio native now has amassed a total of 529 rushing yards on 115 carries and three scored touchdowns for the team through eight games played this season. The team also recently signed Hunt to a two-year, $13.25 million contract extension to stay in his home state for the coming seasons.

A 16-6 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 8 limited the Browns to a 5-3 record to nab third place in the competitive AFC North. The team will return to action in Week 10 proceedings after having a bye in Week 9.

With Chubb's looming return already on the horizon for the Browns, the team will hopefully be in a better position to snag a much-needed win to remain in the thick of the playoff race.
