Ohio State University defensive lineman Dre'Mont Jones is expected to be a first-round pick at the NFL Draft next month, but he may not end up playing for his favorite team.

A lifelong Cleveland Browns fan, Jones understands that the chances of him actually playing for Cleveland are slim and, as a result, realizes that he probably can't be a Browns supporter much longer.

“Ending until further notice,” Jones said of his Cleveland loyalty, according to Nick Shook of the Browns' official team website. “I watched the Browns every Sunday with my dad. It was like our thing: Watch the game, get some food, chill, relax, watch Ohio State on Saturdays. So I mean, kind of how it really started.”

Still, Jones is obviously hoping that the Browns do, somehow, take him in the draft.

“Playing for Cleveland, that would be crazy, that would be like a dream come true,” he said.

But, of course, Jones also said he would welcome any team to draft him.

“But playing for these other teams, like the Cardinals or the Colts or the Jaguars or the Patriots, that's also a dream come true because I'll be in the NFL,” he added.

So, does Jones imagine himself wearing a Browns uniform next season?

“I envision the possibility of playing for any team,” Jones said.

Jones is coming off of a junior campaign in which he registered 43 tackles, 13 tackles for loss, 8.5 sacks, an interception, a forced fumble, three fumble recoveries, and a defensive touchdown.

As for the Browns? They went 7-8-1 this past season, marking their best finish since winning 10 games back in 2007.
