The Cleveland Browns are probably still on cloud nine after notching their first victory since 2016 last week at the expense of the New York Jets. The Browns had to claw their way out of an 11-point lead to pull off a 21-17 come-from-behind victory, which likely would not have been possible without a perfectly ran two-point conversion play executed to perfection by quarterback Baker Mayfield and wide receiver Jarvis Landry off the design by Cleveland offensive coordinator Todd Haley.

After Browns running back Carlos Hyde scored on a one-yard touchdown rumble in the third quarter to cut the Jets’ lead down to two, Cleveland ran what seemed to be its own version of the “Philly Special” trick play that the Philadelphia Eagles pulled off in their Super Bowl win over the New England Patriots earlier this year.

It was obviously not an original play from Todd Haley, who even admitted where he drew inspiration from, per Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal.

#Browns OC Todd Haley said he absolutely took two-point play he called on Thursday night from #Eagles. “I have no shame.”

Cleveland fans certainly won’t take any issue with it. After all, they got to see their team win again after a long drought.

Haley, who was hired earlier this year by the Browns as their offense’s mastermind, will next look to break down the Oakland Raiders’ defense this coming Sunday.
