The Cleveland Browns are getting their first look of Washington Redskins rookie quarterback Dwayne Haskins during Thursday's preseason matchup. So far, they've done an excellent job containing the Ohio State product; specifically, rookie linebacker Mack Wilson is. The linebacker picked off the quarterback, then took it to the house for a pick-six.

Wilson read a flat route to the Redskins' running back and made a play on it when Haskins tested him. He leaped into the air athletically, then showed his burners to take it 31 yards down the field.

A fifth-round pick, Wilson is an enticing prospect for the Browns, and the highlight helps that notion. He measures in at 6-foot-1 and 240-pounds and recorded a 32-inch vertical jump and 117-inch broad jump at the NFL Combine. At Alabama, he tallied 113 tackles, seven for a loss, and a sack in three seasons.

NFL's resident scout Lance Zierlein compared him favorably to perennial Pro Bowler C.J. Mosley, as he said,

He is today's version of an NFL linebacker with adequate size, plus strength and toughness, speed pursue and an ability to handle coverage duties on any down. Wilson is like a classically trained musician who hits his notes on time, but the question is whether or not he can play as a free-form, improvisational talent when the opportunity arises. Either way, he's a solid, three-down starter in any defensive scheme.

Wilson is currently behind Christian Kirksey for the starting WILL position. The Browns drafted another inside linebacker in 2019 in Sione Takitaki during the third-round.
