With training camp set to begin, teams around the NFL have ramped up their efforts to take safety precautions during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Even Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Cameron Brate is doing his part to raise awareness heading into the 2020 NFL season.

Cameron Brate was admittedly open about the lack of adjustments in his training schedule at the beginning of the offseason due to the ongoing pandemic. He wasted no time in getting to work with quarterback Tom Brady during their passing sessions and was even tasked with getting Brady up to speed with the playbook after his arrival. Unfortunately, his carelessness resulted in him forcibly gaining some perspective on the virus.

The NFL and NFLPA have established safety guidelines for training camp that include a 72-hour screening test just to be allowed in the facilities. Players and staff will then have to be tested every day and anyone that produces positive results will go into a quarantine period that may last up to 10 days depending on their symptoms.

It is no secret that the Bucs have assembled a crowded tight end room with Brate, Rob Gronkowski, and O.J. Howard. They could look to double down on their safety precautions in order to avoid any further setbacks since Florida is still considered to be one of the hotbeds for the virus throughout there nation.
