Devin White is expected to be a marquee player for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in his second year in the NFL in 2020. However, it appears that his decision-making could use some improvement. Despite the COVID-19 pandemic still ongoing, White intends to host a party that could have 2,000 people attend this weekend, per TMZ Sports.

After attending LSU in college, White began holding an event called the “Trail Ride” in 2019. The 2019 first-round pick of the Buccaneers owns property in Cotton Valley and holds the event there to raise money for various charities.

Even though the coronavirus outbreak is causing concern for the event, White still plans on holding the bash this weekend. The mayor of Cotton Valley, C.C. Cox, believes that COVID-19 guidelines won't be enforced at the party.

Cox informed TMZ Sports that there will be Louisiana State police officers present at the event. Not to mention, officers from the Webster Parish Sheriff's office will also be in attendance. Neither department claimed that they'd be responsible for enforcing social distancing guidelines.

On the contrary, per TMZ Sports, it has been discovered that White will prioritize COVID-19 guidelines. Besides having attendees social distance, they'll be required to wear masks and wash their hands properly.

Of the 50 states, Louisiana has seen an uptick in coronavirus cases recently. Furthermore, the LSU football team had to place a quarter of their roster in quarantine after being exposed to COVID-19 last month.

Given the circumstances, the Buccaneers likely aren't fond of White deciding to go through with his party. Nevertheless, hopefully White and everyone that attends his party remain safe.
