The Tampa Bay Buccaneers got a major reinforcement ahead of their playoff clash against the Los Angeles Rams. Leonard Fournette was activated from the Buccaneers' Injured Reserve and is set to play in the NFC Divisional Round game Sunday afternoon.

NFL insider Ian Rapoport tweeted the news just before the 4:00 p.m. deadline Saturday afternoon.

This is great news for Tom Brady and the defending Super Bowl champions. Fournette has missed the Buccaneers' last four games after suffering a hamstring injury in December. He left the field in the third quarter of the Buccaneers' Week 15 loss to the New Orleans Saints and hasn't played since.

Fournette was able to practice this week. The main thing that head coach Bruce Arians was focused on was his ability to reach top speed. He said that if Fournette couldn't comfortably reach his top sped in practice, he wouldn't be cleared to play.

Despite missing the last three games of the Buccaneers' regular season, Fournette still led the team in rushing yards by a mile. He recorded 812 yards and eight touchdowns. Both numbers are double that of Ronald Jones, the second most productive Buccaneers running back this season.

If the Buccaneers win Sunday afternoon, they will take on the winner of the Green Bay Packers vs the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship.
