Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Rob Gronkowski is giving back to the community.

Recently, a fire destroyed the equipment shed of Blake High School in Tampa, so Gronkowski is stepping up with a donation:

The Buccaneers acquired Gronkowski in a trade with the New England Patriots earlier this offseason after he announced his decision to come out of retirement.

Gronkowski, who played his collegiate football at the University of Arizona, was originally selected by the Patriots in the second round (42nd pick overall) of the 2010 NFL Draft.

It didn't take long for Gronk to establish himself as one of the most lethal receiving threats in the league, as he made the Pro Bowl and earned a First-Team All-Pro selection as soon as his second season after hauling in 90 receptions for 1,327 yards and 17 touchdowns.

Gronkowski played for New England from 2010 through 2018, making five trips to the Pro Bowl and notching First-Team All-Pro honors four times along the way. He also helped the Pats win a couple of Super Bowls (remember: Gronkowski was injured when the Patriots beat the Atlanta Falcons for the championship in February 2017).

However, injuries ultimately took their toll on the legend, and by his final season in New England in 2018, Gronkowski appeared to be a shell of himself. That year, he logged 47 catches for 682 yards and three scores, a far cry from his most productive seasons.

Gronkowski then announced his retirement not long after the Pats defeated the Los Angeles Rams for another Super Bowl victory last year.

But now, the 31-year-old is reuniting with Tom Brady in Tampa Bay. And giving back to his new community while he's at it.
