The Tampa Bay Buccaneers weren't considered Super Bowl favorites at the start of free agency. However, after signing quarterback Tom Brady, the possibility doesn't seem out of the ordinary anymore. According to Vegas, the Bucs are one of the top teams that are favored to win the Super Bowl this upcoming season.

In a recent appearance on SiriusXM’s Mad Dog Sports Radio, Bucs' pass rusher Shaq Barrett opened up about the possibility of winning the Super Bowl this upcoming season:

“Everybody knows it’s a possibility now. It just ups everything. We know we have a great leader back there. He’s been doing it a long time, and coming from a winning organization, he knows how to win. He knows how to win tough games. He’s been in every situation. So to have him back there is going to help us out.”

When Barrett was asked about his reaction to the Bucs signing Brady, he said that he instantly knew they would be contenders.

“I instantly thought that we were going to be in the Super Bowl … Like, we’re a contender now. There’s nothing holding us back but ourselves. We got everything we need.”

If the Bucs do make it to the Super Bowl, they'll be the only team in NFL history to play a Super Bowl in their home stadium. However, before they start thinking about the Super Bowl, the Bucs will need to focus on making the playoffs first. The team has only made the playoffs twice in the past 18 years.
