With the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Super Bowl chances cut short, the franchise sets its sights on the 2022 NFL offseason. It'll be interesting to see what the front office can do, as multiple players are potentially leaving in free agency. With Tom Brady finally retiring, the team must go through the daunting task of finding his replacement.

According to ESPN, the Buccaneers plan to conduct a thorough search for their new starting quarterback. General manager Jason Licht goes into depth on Tampa Bay's plan to find Tom Brady's replacement, stating, “We'll have to go down every avenue. We'll have to turn over every stone. I hate to use clichés like that, but we will.”

Tampa Bay selected Kyle Trask in the second round of the NFL Draft last year. He should have a chance to compete for the starting role, however, it doesn't seem the Buccaneers are completely sold on the idea of handing the reigns to the young quarterback. However, “the team is encouraged by what they're seeing in the development of rookie second-round pick Kyle Trask,” per ESPN.

So, between free agency, potential trades, and the upcoming NFL Draft, the Buccaneers are determined to bring in a new quarterback this offseason. It's a vague game plan, but it's how Tampa Bay should be approaching their quarterback situation. It'll be near impossible to find someone to fill in Tom Brady's shoes, but the organization will do its best to do so.

We'll see how it all plays out, as there will be a number of intriguing options available. If they can't trade for a superstar, the Buccaneers should opt for the free-agent pool. Bringing in a rookie to compete with Kyle Trask seems like the worst option on paper, but Tampa Bay may fall in love with an incoming rookie in the draft.

It's time to buckle up for the offseason, as the Buccaneers are going to be busy all year long.
