The Tampa Bay Buccaneers drama surrounding wide receiver Antonio Brown and what went down in the game against the New York Jets won't be going away anytime soon, especially after Brown's side of the story was released in a statement Wednesday night. As the news continues to swirl regarding Brown's Jets game drama, the Buccaneers officially released Brown. Quarterback Tom Brady was asked to comment on Brown and the star signal-caller pleaded ignorance on the drama that unfolded during the game.

That is exactly the type of answer one would expect from Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady on the Antonio Brown Jets game drama. Brady said that he wasn't aware of the issues going on around Brown during the game.

The Buccaneers star said he was focused on winning the game. First of all, it's unlikely that Brady, who was Brown's quarterback, was unaware of the star wideout's alleged unhappiness with his target level.

Brady likely knew but is displaying a tactic learned from his time in New England: don't add fuel to any media fire. Think about it. The legendary quarterback is trying to lead the Buccaneers to a second straight Super Bowl title amid injuries and COVID cases.

The last thing Brady and Tampa Bay want is drama and that is exactly what Brown has provided- and continues to provide- as this story unfolds by the day.

Whether Brady truly wasn't aware of Brown's issues or not, he is not fanning the flames of the media firestorm that has ensued by pleading ignorance. It's a smart move and an expected one by Brady.

After all, as Buccaneers star Tom Brady said, he's just going to do the best he can to lead the team forward.
