Tom Brady and the rest of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers came up clutch on opening night as they escaped with a slim 31-29 win over the visiting Dallas Cowboys. The defending Super Bowl champs chalked up their first victory of the 2021 NFL season thanks to another impressive game from their three-time MVP who threw 379 yards and four TDs.

It was an end-to-end battle in the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay with the home squad needing a last-second FG from kicker Ryan Succop. And, as always, Succop delivered (via NFL):

The Bucs' defense of their 2021 Super Bowl win is off to a great start. Brady was locked in all evening long and got all the help he needed from his offense. Antonio Brown and Chris Godwin both tallied a touchdown each while Brady's long-time partner Robert Gronkowski had two TDs under his name to cap off Tampa Bay's offensive masterclass.

On the other hand, the returning Prescott had himself an evening as well. After missing almost a year in action, the 28-year-old was back to his usual self throwing 403 yards with three TDs and just one interception. On paper, he was actually the better signal-caller out there with a 101.4 rating over Brady's 97.

But, in the end, all those numbers didn't matter as it was Brady and the rest of his team on top after the final buzzer sounded. The Buccaneers are back and they're looking great. Watch out, world.
