To further break it down, the 43-year-old playmaker already pocketed $500,000 for simply taking the Buccaneers to a stint in the postseason, as per Business Insider. This came after Tampa Bay finished the regular season with an 11-5 record to finish in second place in the NFC South division.
He further snagged $250,000 for leading the team to a win in the Wild Card Round. The Buccaneers managed to get past a resilient Washington Football Team in the opening round by way of a 31-23 victory.
Moreover, Brady was also rewarded with $500,000 for dealing an upset to division rival New Orleans Saints in the NFC Divisional Round. The Buccaneers managed to get past Drew Brees and the Saints on a 30-20 win.
Another $500,000 incentive was given to Brady when he eliminated MVP Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Championship Game via a 31-26 victory.
The lucrative paychecks may be an extra motivation for the three-time NFL MVP to get the all-important win on Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs.
However, at the end of the day, successfully etching his name in history and further cementing himself as one of the greatest players to play the game of football certainly serves as a greater goal for Tom Brady to achieve in Super Bowl LV.
