Milwaukee Bucks superstar swingman Giannis Antetokounmpo doesn't want to be friends with his competitors like other superstars are nowadays.

Antetokounmpo points to how Kobe Bryant and Kevin Garnett didn't have relationships with their competitors back in their playing days.

“Was Kobe every close with his uh…Was Kevin Garnett ever close with the guys he played against? I think just being competitive and I'm going to play against them and I'll see them in the playoffs with many more years to come,” Giannis told Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

You have to love this if you're a Bucks fan.

Giannis Antetokounmpo doesn't train with other stars in the summer. He worked out with Kobe Bryant last offseason, but Kobe is retired now and Giannis was just trying to learn some tricks from The Black Mamba.

This season for the Bucks, The Greek Freak is having one of the most special years in NBA history. Giannis is averaging 27.3 points, 12.6 rebounds and 6.0 assists per game while shooting 58.1 percent from the field, 24.2 percent from beyond the arc and 72.5 percent from the free-throw line.

Antetokounmpo has 52 double-doubles and five triple-doubles. He has led the Bucks to the best record in the NBA.

Too many superstars are friends with each other and train together in the summer. Giannis has that old school mindset where the ball itself is the only friend he has on the basketball court.
