Tuesday night featured a highly-anticipated rematch between two of the top teams in the NBA today in the Milwaukee Bucks and the Brooklyn Nets. Giannis Antetokounmpo had to make sure he made his mark early in the game and so he did just that.

Giannis made the Nets defense regret not covering him on defense not once, but twice (h/t NBA on TNT on Twitter):

Antetokounmpo isn't exactly a marksman from distance and the Nets knew exactly what they were doing here when they decided not to cover him from long-range. They were clearly tempting the reigning league MVP to take the long-distance shot, which for his part, Giannis gladly obliged with.

This resulted in a couple of made triples from the Bucks superstar as he reminded the Nets about his acumen from beyond the three-point territory. Giannis is no Stephen Curry, but as you can see on the above clip, he needs more respect than Brooklyn is giving him.

Then again, if you think about it, the Nets will probably be more than happy to give Antetokounmpo the freedom to throw bombs from distance. He's currently averaging 31.3 percent from three on 3.6 attempts per game, so odds are, he's not going to be this hot the rest of the way. Brooklyn would much rather play the odds here as opposed to Giannis dominating them from down low.
