Milwaukee Bucks All-Star Giannis Antetokounmpo will be held out of Wednesday night's home game against the New Orleans Pelicans due to soreness in his right quad tendon, according to a report from Matt Velazquez of the Journal Sentinel.

Though they might not admit it, the Bucks could be giving Giannis this night off, as they're facing a Pelicans team that is riding the wave of a nine-game losing streak. Milwaukee has a back-to-back coming up after Wednesday's game (Friday and Saturday), so keep him on your radar for now.

With 32 points and 15 rebounds, Antetokounmpo led the Bucks to their 15th straight win on Monday night — a 110-101 victory over the Orlando Magic.

“It's amazing, I'm not going to lie,” Giannis Antetokounmpo told reporters of the winning streak, via ESPN. “When I go back home, sit down and think about it, it's amazing.

The fact that Antetokounmpo will be held out of Wednesday night's matchup is unfortunate, as he is playing great basketball this season. In his 24 appearances with the Bucks, the reigning MVP has racked up averages of 30.9 points on 56.4 percent shooting from the field (31.9 percent from beyond the arc), 13.2 rebounds, 5.5 assists, 1.3 blocks and 1.3 steals in 31.6 minutes per outing. He's currently second in scoring behind James Harden and fifth in rebounds.

Wednesday night's matchup between the Bucks and Pelicans is set to tip inside Fiserv Forumm at 9:00 p.m. ET, with ESPN having live broadcast coverage.
