The scuffling Milwaukee Bucks will host the red-hot Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday night at Fiserv Forum. The Bucks have been without Jrue Holiday for two weeks because of health and safety protocols and an ankle injury. So, is Jrue Holiday playing vs. the Grizzlies?

Is Bucks' Jrue Holiday playing vs. Grizzlies

Holiday entered health and safety protocols on Jan. 6 but soon tested out of them. Unfortunately, his ankle injury has been lingering, keeping him out of the lineup.

The good news is there's a chance Holiday makes his return against the Grizzlies on Wednesday. The Bucks guard is questionable, so perhaps he'll be back in the fold.

Milwaukee could certainly use Holiday. While the Bucks beat the Brooklyn Nets back without Holiday back on Jan. 7, they've since lost four of their last five games. That includes a 121-114 loss to the Atlanta Hawks in their last game, a game in which they coughed up a fourth-quarter lead because they couldn't get any stops. Milwaukee allowed 38 points in the fourth quarter and 71 in the second half after leading by 12 at halftime.

The Bucks have looked like their championship selves when they've had all of Holiday, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton in the lineup, but that hasn't happened as often as they'd like this season. It's why they started out slow and why they're “only” 27-19, which is still a good record but nowhere near as dominant as they've been in past regular seasons.

Holiday is averaging 18.4 points, 6.7 assists, 4.6 rebounds and 1.6 steals in 33.2 minutes per game this season. He's shooting 49.9% from the field and 38.2% from 3-point range while also providing his elite defense.

So, ultimately, is Jrue Holiday playing vs. the Grizzlies on Wednesday night? Stay tuned.
