If there is one ubiquitous imagery with LeBron James' short but definitely impactful stint in South Beach — other than the obvious hoisting of a pair of championships — it is quite possibly his poster dunk on guard Jason Terry who was then a member of the Boston Celtics back when the rivalry with James' Miami Heat was at its fever pitch.

James got a technical for taunting but the purposeful stroll and dagger stare was the perfect reaction to what is widely considered one of the most brutal dunks ever executed.

Five years have passed since that game and “Jet” showed up in ESPN's The Jump to talk about that moment and how it still haunts him to this day.

“I think the worst thing about this is every time I’m in arenas or at the grocery store, little kids come up to me, ‘Hey, hey, are you Jason Terry?’ ‘Yeah, that’s me.’ ‘Why did LeBron dunk on you?’ I’m like come on, I thought you were gonna ask for an autograph.”

It was somewhat a measure of revenge for the four-time Most Valuable Player since two years before the iconic dunk, the 6-foot-2 guard got the best of him (who was then a Dallas Mavericks mainstay) by beating the heavily-favored Heat to win the title, and also running circles around his vaunted defense.

After the dunk, Terry's career has devolved to a journeyman bouncing from team to team before ultimately finding a home in Milwaukee as a steady veteran who may also be on his way to coaching soon since he's about to turn 41 later this year.
