The Milwaukee Bucks are putting the finishing touches on their offseason roster before they need to make difficult decisions about the regular-season roster. The Bucks are bringing in former Boston Celtics first-round pick James Young in addition to undrafted rookie Robert Johnson. Keith Smith of RealGM and CelticsBlog reported the signings via Twitter:
The Milwaukee Bucks are waiving Jordan Barnett and Brandon McCoy, who were signed earlier this offseason. They are signing undrafted rookie Robert Johnson and former Celtics/Sixers guard James Young.
This will bring the Bucks back to 20 players on the offseason roster.

Young is an interesting player who has yet to live up to his potential. The 23-year-old spent three seasons in Boston, but he failed to make any significant impact before the Celtics decided to cut bait. Additionally, he only appeared in six games for the Philadelphia 76ers last season.
The Bucks are hoping to find a diamond in the rough with Young. Highly touted out of the University of Kentucky, Young was drafted 17th overall by the Celtics in 2014. He actually joined Milwaukee for training camp last season before being waived.
Johnson is an even longer shot to make the Bucks' roster than Young. The 6-foot-3 shooting guard is an undrafted rookie out of Indiana and is unlikely to make Milwaukee's roster. He'll most likely find a spot with the Bucks' G League affiliate, the Wisconsin Herd.
Milwaukee is heading in a new direction with Mike Budenholzer manning the sidelines. There's an opportunity for young players like Young and Johnson to make noise.
