The Milwaukee Bucks have signed forward Joel Bolomboy to a two-way contract after the former Utah Jazz player cleared waivers, The Step Back’s Chris Reichert reports.

Joel Bolomboy, 23, was the final cut made by the Jazz to trim their roster down to 15 players earlier this week. He was drafted 52nd overall by the Jazz in the 2016 draft after four seasons at Weber State. He appeared in 12 regular-season games with the Jazz as a rookie and averaged 1.8 points and 1.4 rebounds per game.

Bolomboy also played 24 games for the Salt Lake City Star, the Jazz’s G League affiliate, and averaged 16.4 points and 13.2 rebounds per contest. He will now spend most of the season with the Bucks’ newly-established G League affiliate, the Wisconsin Herd, along with the Bucks’ other two-way player, Gary Payton II, who returned to the team shortly after being waived.

Bolomboy can spend up to 45 days with the Bucks this season, although they currently have a logjam at Bolomboy’s preferred position, power forward. Giannis Antetokounmpo, Mirza Teletovic, and D.J. Wilson currently fill the depth chart, while Jabari Parker is also set to return later in the season as he recovers from his torn ACL.
